Ultrasound – precise technology

Ultrasound technology enables a very precise examination and is often a medically sensible alternative to invasive diagnostics.

Imaging diagnostics of the abdomen (stomach, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, intestine), thyroid gland and heart can be obtained without radiation or contrast agent substances.

When is Ultrasound preferred

Sonography (ultrasound) should generally be performed before other imaging or invasive examinations (e.g. endoscopies). Ultrasound is inexpensive, well tolerated and free of side effects.

Diagnostic comparisons

The use of technically mature sonography often allows comparison with previous diagnostics, even if other examination methods were used for imaging. CDs from previous ultrasound images can be directly compared with current images on modern devices by splitting the screen. This is even possible with images from CT or MRT images, which can also be compared with current live images directly on a screen in the device.

A good example for the possibilities of comparative diagnostics are complaints caused by gallbladder stones. In certain cases, these stones can be dissolved using Chinese medicine. The attending physician can use not only his own current images, but also earlier ones taken from ultrasound or a completely different technique.

Certain forms of gallstones can be resolved using Chinese medicine:

  • At the beginning of the treatment
  • One month after the beginning of treatment
  • At the end of the three-month-long treatment

Humane application of technology

The Normamed method combines modern, medically meaningful new technological developments with the tradition of gentle medicine, which also has a healing effect.

Normamed’s medical consultants work with the most modern and high-quality ultrasound equipment. The use of advanced technology is part of the Normamed standards. In causal medical care, the diagnostic components (such as anamnesis, pulse and tongue examination, mouth and throat anamnesis, expert microscopy, laboratory analysis, ultrasound, etc.) form an indispensable unit.
