General terms and conditions and special conditions of use for participants of the Normamed method.
1. General
Normamed is a medically oriented, independent and sustainability-oriented process of Normamed SA. It includes supporting medical care through quality assurance offers as part of the development of a new electronic infrastructure for patients and doctors.
Normamed enables the optimization of medical diagnostics and treatment through automated evaluation of medical data. Normamed services include medical and non-medical services. Users can use the services over a period of years as needed and according to the assessment of the treating doctor. These include, for example, services for the collection, organization and archiving of medical data, but also medical services provided that these are provided by a doctor working within Normamed (e.g. evaluation of anamnesis findings, preparation of nutritional recommendations). Treatment recommendations). The medical services are so-called individual health services.
These are preventive and service medicine services that are not reimbursed by statutory health insurance (GKV) because they are not included in the GKV's catalogue of services. These diagnostic and treatment methods are offered to patients in the public health system and must be paid for by them themselves if they use them. Private health insurance companies can reimburse individual Normamed health services.
2. Record your patient history data
In order to participate in the Normamed method, a basic medical history must be drawn up. Your answers to questions about your state of health, your medical history and your current complaints are the prerequisite for all further meaningful steps within the framework of the Normamed method. After contacting a medical care center certified by Normamed, Normamed SA will provide you with a detailed patient history questionnaire online.
The data in your patient history contains strictly confidential information. Normamed SA is therefore legally obliged to obtain your written consent to store your data. Without your written consent, it is not possible to store your patient data and thus use the Normamed method. You give your consent when you conclude a treatment contract with a care center certified by Normamed. Please also note our special data protection information.
3. Other appearances
After archiving a patient's medical history (e.g. basic medical history, supplementary medical history), Normamed provides additional services if required (e.g. anamnesis evaluation, advice on taking samples, drawing up diet plans, hygiene advice, etc.). If it is a medical service, such as the evaluation of your medical history data, a treatment contract is concluded with one of your preferred Normamed doctors. Normamed supports you in selecting a doctor. However, you are not bound to work with a Normamed doctor, but can make your data available to any other doctor of your choice within the scope of your free choice of doctor.
You can revoke all contracts that you conclude with Normamed through your respective order in accordance with the statutory requirements.
4. Liability for Content
A. General
As a registered user, you may have access to extensive information on the Normamed website. This information does not constitute medical advice within the meaning of the law. It is intended solely for general information purposes and does not constitute a recommendation to buy or use medicines or health products. If you have health problems, you should always consult a doctor you trust. The contents of the Normamed information may not be used to make independent diagnoses/treatments. Normamed accepts no liability for damages resulting from the use of the information on the Normamed website.
The Normamed method is an independent method that you can only use together with your doctor. In addition, these special terms of use apply if you want to use the Normamed method together with your doctor. Normamed SA reserves the express right to change, add to or delete parts of the pages or the entire offer, or to temporarily or permanently stop publication thereof without prior notice.
B. Important note
The evaluation of your medical history data and other explicit medical services (e.g. medical diet plans, treatment plans, drug recommendations, etc.) concerns medical advisory services for prophylaxis, diagnosis and therapy. The personal impression of the patient is of essential importance for a medical diagnosis and therapy. Therefore, the professional standards for doctors prohibit exclusive diagnosis and therapy without personal contact with the patient. We expressly point out that the Normamed method is a method that is intended to support you and your treating doctor. The online consultation by your Normamed doctor cannot replace a personal consultation with your doctor. The statements provided can only form the basis of medical treatment if a thorough medical examination takes into account additional personal data about you as a patient.
As an independent standardized method, the Normamed method includes, for example, the detection of diseases caused by pathogens and is primarily preventive and non-invasive in this regard. With the Normamed method, you can make a valuable contribution in advance of personal medical advice and treatment to gaining certainty about the nature of perceptible but still hidden infections that can become effective during the course of treatment.
5. Availability of your health data, liability
Anamnesis data, evaluations and all services provided by Normamed SA and your doctor can later be stored in your Normamed archive, your personal medical record. In accordance with medical professional standards, your doctor is obliged to keep the patient file for a period of 10 years. The electronic medical record is not part of such a patient file. If your treating doctor then wants to transfer information from the medical record to the patient file, you will find instructions on how to print the information in your electronic patient file.
Normamed SA strives to offer the best possible, uninterrupted website for retrieval and to give you access to your personal medical records at any time. However, even with the greatest care, downtime, technical transmission delays or the loss of data cannot be ruled out, which is why Normamed SA cannot guarantee the uninterrupted usability and accessibility of the website or the permanent storage of your data.
